Central The Fringe Club|Fringe Festival 2026 A Letter to the Moonlit Sea
Description
"Tears are the smallest ocean that humans can create."
The poetry collection of Japanese avant-garde art master Shuji Terayama is a gem of Oriental literature. His oceanic poems are vast and romantic, filled with metaphors and allusions that reflect the loneliness and depth of human emotions. Inspired by Terayama's poetry, this performance includes soundscapes and dance, and for this show, it will also feature real-time projection mapping of charcoal animation. With his enigmatic and unique brushstrokes as an experimental narrative technique, a cross-media immersive space of light and shadow, sound and image is constructed. Through a fragmented and poetic imagery presentation, the audience will be guided to experience the subtle flow and bearing of emotions, opening up the smallest yet most profound 'ocean' in the human heart.
